Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin pop mainstream is being influenced by his international impact. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Best Song in the year 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was released by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album made it to the 8th spot on the Top Latin Albums Chart. He then joined Ozuna to record his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He collaborated with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He in the year following, he released his sophomore album which was the chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021, he performed as a duo TINI for her stream single Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was born into a musical family, his older brother and mother are also musicians. He has said in interviews that music is a must. He began learning to play the saxophone, guitar, ukulele and keyboard as when he was a child. Although his first career choice was becoming a veterinarian his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons from a Cuban.
